I’m someone who sits on ideas for a long time, debating whether I should act on them, whether I can do my idea justice, whether anyone will care to consume the content that I make. All the while, I’m dying to just do it, perfection be damned. So here I am, just a girl, posting her first blog post in the year 2026. I’m creating a place for myself to write, blab about books in a form that feels freer and more genuine than Instagram or Goodreads, and I am really happy to be here. Maybe no one will read these thoughts but at least I am here for myself, the self I am now and the self that I would like to be in the future.
I probably sound dramatic. It’s just a book blog! It’s just an intro post! But I am truly excited to be doing this for me. I find that many of the reviews and analyses on books that tend to make it to my FYP are quite generalized and polarizing. Books are either good or bad, characters are likable or unlikable, stories are not dissected in a way that I would like to see. And I am guilty of this too! Social media is just not the platform for that. So I plan to practice doing that here. I’m looking forward to feeling like I’m engaging deeper with the books I read.
